Honour the Treaty, Dunedin

There have been several large Toitū te Tiriti (Honour the Treaty) rallies in Dunedin and across New Zealand recently. The demonstrations were in response to efforts by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and his National Party-led coalition government to reduce Māori rights and reinterpret Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi), Aotearoa New Zealand’s founding document.
